When you subscribe, request a guide, leave a reply, or contact us, you may provide an email address, message, and the details included in that submission. We use this information to deliver what you request, manage newsletter consent, respond to you, moderate replies, understand reader engagement, and protect the site from abuse. Newsletter subscription uses double opt-in: you are not subscribed until you confirm through the email we send.
If you separately request a personalized field guide, the answers you deliberately submit are stored and may be processed with an AI language model to create the requested guide. These guides are educational reflections, not clinical assessments, diagnoses, or medical, legal, or financial advice. The ordinary interactive calculators and guides continue to process their answers in your browser unless a form clearly says it will submit them.
Timelessly Mindful uses Google Analytics with consent controls to understand performance and improve the journal. Before you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics receives limited cookie-free measurement signals for aggregate traffic reporting and does not set analytics cookies. If you allow analytics cookies, it may also collect basic technical information such as browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages, and approximate location derived from an IP address. We do not send email addresses, message content, names, or other directly identifying form information to Google Analytics.
Our form service records limited security information such as browser user-agent, form completion time, submission frequency, and a one-way keyed hash of the network address. We use these signals to assign a spam-risk score and quarantine suspicious submissions for human review; questionable submissions are not silently discarded. Newsletter messages may contain standard open and link tracking, which can be disabled for an individual campaign.
Article pages use a random first-party browser identifier to prevent duplicate reactions and to produce privacy-conscious aggregate counts such as views, completed reads, and popular articles. The server stores only a one-way keyed hash of that identifier and a one-way keyed network-address hash—not the original values—and does not connect this activity to a contact or email address. Daily view and completion records are retained for approximately 400 days. Reaction selections remain until changed or removed. You can reset the browser identifier by clearing this site’s local storage.
We do not sell personal information. Information is stored in our self-hosted database and private object storage. We share it only as needed with infrastructure and service providers that help operate the site, including email delivery providers, Gmail for correspondence, analytics, and Groq when generating an AI-assisted personalized guide, or when required by law.
Deleted contacts remain recoverable for 30 days. Operational delivery and audit records are generally retained for up to two years. Minimal suppression records for unsubscribes, complaints, and permanent delivery failures are retained as needed to ensure we do not email those addresses again. Backups may retain information until they rotate or are deleted.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any newsletter. You may also ask to access, correct, export, or delete information we hold by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing newsletter consent does not prevent us from responding to a message you sent or retaining the minimal suppression record needed to honor your choice.
